Wen Pickering

Wen Pickering is a potter, art teacher, and musician (BA, piano, Oberlin).

Diagnosed with Scoliosis at the age of 10, she searched for a way to avoid surgery. She found the Alexander Technique: a practice through which she achieved a pain-free life of freedom. She is certified to teach Alexander Technique by the American Society for the Alexander Technique (AmSAT). She loves to share with others the joy AT can bring to life.

An AT lesson is an informative, non-invasive, uniquely collaborative, joyful learning experience of harmonizing and improving the quality of inhabiting the human form.  Through words and gentle touch Wen helps students re-pattern their movements in a coordinated, synchronized sequence.  She has worked with musicians, nurses, neurologists, parents, dancers, singers, athletes, and dentists to help each find joyful and pain-free patterns in their professional and other activities.

Wen teaches in her studio in Parkton. Learn more at www.wendypickeringat.com. Contact her at 410-365-7770 or wkpick@comcast.net (text or call preferred).
